One of the most rewarding aspects of diving in Islamorada is the diversity of ocean bottom topography. Where the barrier reef passes through Islamorada, it offers deep reef ledges. The ledges start in roughly 45ft and can drop to a max depth of 110 ft. This provides over 50 ft of wall type reefs. Its truly amazing. In other areas the ledge only drops to 60ft.
